Room Thirteen – “Tiny Scar”

“Tiny Scar” is a recent track from Room Thirteen, off the Florida-based band’s fourth album, Crooked Palm, releasing on August 7th. Dazed, tranquil vocals cast a hypnotic spell throughout, the relaxed rhythms and psychedelic guitar tones engrossing throughout this atmospheric gem. Inspired by “80’s science fiction and B movie horror,” the track’s music video enjoyably captures the track’s mysteriously dreamy vibes. Directed and produced by two band members, Danny Clifton and Abigail Clark, the video’s planetary world was made out of “papier-mâché miniatures, handmade puppets and DIY special effects.” “Tiny Scar” is a great showcase of the band’s engrossing songwriting and atmospheric level of detail.

“Tiny Scar” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2021’ Spotify playlist.
