Archie Blu – “Potestaquisitor”

Nashville-based Archie Blu produces a lovely, jangly glow throughout new track “Potestaquisitor.” The hypnotic track unveils a dreamy pop allure, the softly enveloping vocals ascending beautifully amidst crisp guitars. A weightless sophisti-pop quality is apparent past the two-minute mark, as the vocals and keys assume a reflective charisma. The ensuing jangly charm engages each go-around, serving as the structural centerpiece to the captivating “Potestaquisitor.”

“Lyrically this song is about submerging myself in critical self reflection under the influence and how it has changed me for the better,” the artist writes. “I took a whole new approach to the writing process, instead of starting on guitar I wrote most of it on piano & synths.”

“Potestaquisitor” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2021’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Dream-Pop.
