The Go Rounds – “Harpees”

A new track from Michigan-based band The Go Rounds, “Harpees” stirs with a haunting vocal chilliness and shimmering, textural build. The vocal rise past the one-minute mark conjures feelings reminiscent of Wild Beasts, the heightened pitch relaying a dramatic, consuming effect. The verses flicker with layered intrigue, as the chorus breathes with added rhythmic allure. The final minute presents a fully grown rendition of the chorus, with dreamy wordless vocal effects concluding gracefully. “Harpees” evolves with a dreamy, captivating quality.

“Harpees” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2021’ Spotify playlist.
