Mark Ferg – “Loverman”

/

A breezy pop success, “Loverman” is a new track from NYC-based artist Mark Ferg, who impressed last year with the track “Home.” Mellow synth pulsations accompany a charismatic vocal lead, aspiring to be a “superman lover.” Professions of admiration follow with a more poppy hip-hop allure, stressing full effort to giving it all. “Have you ever seen cupid grow up?” Ferg asks, the track’s quaint charm building to a lushly melodic bridge a bit after the two-minute mark. “Loverman” continues Ferg’s knack for quality production and melodic allure.

“‘Loverman’ was a song that was created from a conversation with a friend,” Ferg says. “My friend was in a situation where she was dating a guy in secret and not publicly claiming him. I wrote this song from her boyfriends point of view letting her know how he feels about her and how serious he is about their love and their relationship.”

“Loverman” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2021’ Spotify playlist.
