MUSARTER – “How Much More”

“How Much More” is a darkly atmospheric new track from MUSARTER. Dark, gargled synths and a resonating guitar-laden soundscape, replete with ’80s nostalgia, cast a mysterious feeling throughout the track’s intro. The opening lyrics play amidst an industrial-leaning atmosphere reminding fondly of Nine Inch Nails. The twangy/stuttering guitar flash around 01:30 begins the build-up with subtle fervor, as does the slight whisper-y backing vocal reflection thereafter, leading into the exhilarating vocal call at the two-minute mark. The vocals’ fervent rise here plays in enjoyable contrast to the more nonchalant nature of the first minute+, rousing with its escalation, and here showing a sound fondly reminiscent of Depeche Mode.

The track comes from the album Hindsight, streaming in full below:

“How Much More” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2021’ Spotify playlist.
