Lou Beauty – “Bank Account”

//

“Bank Account” is a new track from Lou Beauty, a songwriter and producer from Bakersfield, California. Lyrically emphasizing a knack for seizing the present, as opposed to worrying about the future, the laid-back sentiments mesh enjoyably with hazy guitar twangs. The vocals are reflectively accompanied by a lusher backing presence, adding enjoyably to the serene production in the verses. “I don’t check my bank account, ’cause I know just what I’ll get,” he sings during the suavely melodic chorus. “Don’t call me an underachiever, because I’m doing my goddamn best.” The “time stands still,” bridge presents a starry, retrospective quality that eases to a final reprisal of the memorable chorus. “Bank Account” is a showing of quality songwriting from Lou Beauty.
