“U F Os” shows the unique pop sound of oooey gooey, the South Carolina-based project comprising married couple Seth and Victoria Simmons. The track presents a dreamy pop sound yet bursting with bassy pulsations and trickling synths amidst varied structural shifts; the trickling synths and dreamy vocals also fit enjoyably within the PC Music aesthetic. The excitable synths, videogame-esque vocal sample hook, and dreamy lead enthrall throughout, repeatedly upon the “think about UFOs,” vocal hook. I’m certainly excited to hear what’s next from oooey gooey, whose sound remains though-provoking and inventive while still being undoubtedly melodic. “U F Os” is a trippy delight of a pop adventure.
