Turquoise – “Tumulte”

Touting a feverishly melodic blend of guitars and synths, “Tumulte” is a consuming new track from Belgian band Turquoise. Dreamy synths lead initially, quickly exceling into a sturdy bass line and guitar adornments in post-punk and rock-forward veins. The glistening keys during the sweeping chorus strut a more dream-pop feeling, fully captivating; the ensuing ’80s-forward rhythms in the bridge to the next verses also stand out. Turquoise craft a magical sound with “Tumulte,” cleverly straddling dream-pop lushness with a hard-driving rhythmic rock backbone.

“Tumulte” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2021’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Dream-Pop.
