“Homegrown” is the catching debut single from SOME DAZE, the project of Seattle-based Nolan Garrett and London-based Kristjan Hermannsson. Molding an accessibly stylish vein of pop, “Homegrown” weaves moody synths into guitar-fronted suaveness during the verses. “I wanna get stoned with you, what else is there to do?” the vocals lead into the delectable chorus, lyrically celebrating the beauty of smoking homegrown green with great company. “Homegrown” is a catchy success with high-quality vibes throughout. SOME DAZE plans for numerous releases this year; “Homegrown” has me fully anticipating them.
