Heavenly Trip to Hell – “Vivid Dreams”

/

Unleashing an aggressive rock sound with industrial metal influence, California-based band Heavenly Trip to Hell show well throughout their new EP, Pumpkin Man. “Vivid Dreams” stands out with its synth-forward build initially, gearing into a muscle-y rock sound with pulsing guitars into the title-mentioning hook. “We sold our souls to rock ‘n’ roll, anarchy is all we know,” establishes a gripping concluding refrain, the raucous vocal presence consuming. “Systematic” is another EP highlight, integrating hard-rock fervency amidst spoken-word sampling and anxious sirens, reminiscent of Manic Street Preachers’ The Holy Bible. The release grips throughout with its hard rock sound, infusing heavy guitars, fleeting synths, and metal-forward vocals.
