Mental Fracture – “Inception of Fear”

Disaccord, the new album from Israel-based band Mental Fracture, struts a strong rock sound with prog and metal influence. “Inception of Fear” is evident of the band’s consuming songwriting. Buzzing guitars and haunting organs assemble, as a thumping rhythm section weaves in and out. Foreboding vocals emerge alongside the busting bass and organ-laden backbone. Escalating guitars emerge and surround a passionate vocal turn, the “I am the assailant,” hook standing out especially well. The lush guitar work at the two-minute mark signals a striking tonal shift, exemplary of the band’s knack for shape-shifting structural turns.

The album is full of tracks with engaging twists and eclectic stylistic components, and “Inception of Fear” is enjoyably representative of the high-quality material to anticipate throughout. Stream the release below:
