Meshing rock and disco amidst yearning sentiments for better times, “Let’s Go Back” is a melodic success from Utrecht-based duo Thrillionaires. “Let’s go back to a place where we knew just where we were,” the vocals lead suavely, alongside a thumping rhythmic infection. Trickling guitar-based melodics emerge as the vocals fade, the disco-friendly rhythmic pulsations and peppy guitar-pop additions intertwining seamlessly throughout.

The track shows a striking melodic shift around the one-minute turn, culminating in a catchy array of trickling synths and post-punk guitar feelings. The initial vocal refrain and percussive thumping re-emerge, bolstered steadily by guitars and then further dashes of synths, all coming together with cohesive melodic splendor in the satiating conclusion, also featuring electronic-forward vocal effects. “Let’s Go Back” is a catchy success from Thrillionaires.

The track also has a forthcoming video, featuring friends and fans from all over the world dancing to the track.

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of April 2022’ Spotify playlist.
