Caxiel – “Out Of Time”

/

A spirited electro-pop single from Peruvian artist Caxiel, “Out Of Time” charms with its ’80s electro-pop inspiration — channeling an energy reminiscent of Michael Jackson in the charismatic vocal work, as well. A bass-y synth arp and serene keys are bolstered by dazzling synths upon the “losing control,” vocal rise, the “no way out,” driving seamlessly into the “breakdown,” expansion.

The “shattered and broken,” section features mellower keys, assuredly poised for the anthemic “burning alive,” rise that follows. This lovely escalation leads into a riveting conclusion with further vocal soaring and soulful entrancement, cementing “Out Of Time” as an electro-pop delight.

“This song is very personal, it’s about reliving the past and dreading the future,” Caxiel says. “It’s about missed opportunities and how time passes by so relentlessly. The fear of success and the fear of failure. The loneliness that comes with being an artist and having a very different life to everyone else’s.”

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of May 2022’ Spotify playlist.
