Certain – “It’s Alright”

/

A new track from Birmingham (UK)-based creative collective Certain, “It’s Alright” enamors with an accessibly melodic sound. Twinkling keys and a peppy acoustical backbone combine with the soulful vocals of Amara Latchford (Point A.) for a hooky sound throughout.

The Algar/Nicholas songwriting duo combine with producer Gavin Monaghan for a shimmering sound. “Feel too young, feel too old, and suddenly it’s all right, you smile at me, it’s all right,” Latchford sings during the track’s first rise, capturing the warming and comforting qualities love can provide. The guitar-laden bounce during the “it’s all right,” refrain plays with a brightly infectious pull, as does the reflective backing vocals during the final minute.

“It’s Alright” enamors throughout, serving as a lovely success from Certain and Amara Latchford.

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of May 2022’ Spotify playlist.
