Leon in the Wild – “Powerlines”
First catching our ears with “Track Shoes” a couple months ago, Leon in the Wild continues to show a brisk rock infectiousness on his new track “Powerlines.”
The twinkling keys and acoustical strums in the introduction brings a climatic appeal, as lyrics regale about driving through town. The peppy, pulsing character thereafter plays infectiously, the vocals beckoning “let’s go.” “Powerlines” is a melodic success with power-pop and surfy allure, an ideal fit for kicking off a road trip or otherwise sun-filled adventure.
