Airpark – “Prehistoric Feeling”

//

“Prehistoric Feeling” is a new track from Airpark, a Nashville-based duo formed in 2017 by brothers Ben Ford and Michael Ford, Jr.. The playful acoustical shimmers and laid-back vocals build an inviting introduction. The melodic, warming production stands out from the get-go, courtesy of producers Patrick Riley and Alaina Moore (from the pop duo Tennis).

A twangy, hazy guitar line past the two two-minute mark conjures a hypnotic pull, cohesively following the suavely invigorating hook: “automatic prehistoric feeling, I wonder what cloud I’m on.” A serene, bouncy melodic success, “Prehistoric Feeling” is a great showing from Airpark, representing the first single (and title track) from their upcoming debut album.

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2022’ Spotify playlist.
