Le Days – “We Are Slaves (Alternate Recording)”

/

A whirlwind of darkness and foreboding flows through “We Are Slaves (Alternate Recording),” a new track from Swedish act Le Days. Escalating vocal expressions and gloomy underlying strings craft an engrossing introduction. The guttural vocal passion past the two-minute mark evolves amidst clamoring percussion and menacing strings. The final minute presents a beautifully dark and chaotic meshing of creaking strings and rhythmic propulsions. “We Are Slaves (Alternate Recording)” is wholly representative of the project’s knack for darkly invigorating soundscapes with developing, cinematic qualities.

“We Are Slaves (Alternate Recording)” comes via Le Days’ forthcoming album Stuck In My Head (Alternate Recordings), releasing on June 23rd. Recorded at Svenska Grammofon Studion, the album presents alternate recording sessions, following up 2021 album We Are Nowhere.

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2022’ Spotify playlist.
