Disco Dreams – “Cryptic [K]night”

Strutting a dreamy vein of electronic pop, “Cryptic [K]night” is an atmospheric track from Disco Dreams, a solo producer from Northeast Ohio. Hypnotic, psychedelic tones linger throughout the track; effervescent synths and dreamy vocals converge for beautifully melodic results. The follow-up to Disco Dreams’ first album, 2021’s Mystic Daze, “Cryptic [K]night” continues the project’s ascent.

Clicking synths evolve alongside a heavenly vocal reflection, building into more active rhythms at the 30-second mark. The vocals emerge with a lush and seamlessly integrated composure, further adorned by spacey synth injections. A stutter-y guitar effect approaches the two-minute mark with anticipation, giving way to more effervescent range of synths in the track’s second half, coexisting gracefully amidst the serene vocal charms.

Disco Dreams elaborates more on the track:

“I made this song by just playing randomly playing with as many instruments and synths as I could. I enjoy using my lyrics as somewhat of an instrument throughout my songs as well. This track makes me feel happy and I hope to bring some happiness to people that may need some in such gloomy times.”

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2022’ Spotify playlist.
