A starry-eyed bedroom-pop success from Vida, “Something Inside” entrances with its nocturnal synth pulses and excitable vocal layering. “There’s always more than meets the eye,” Vida sings, sporadically accompanied by reflective backing vocals. “Something inside,” signals a glistening synth addition and thumping bass-synth, expanding upon the lush bedroom-pop allure. A caressing synth pad lingers thereafter, driving into an effervescent series of pulsations amidst the “everybody’s dancing,” conclusion.
