Monad – “Intuition (at Whitewood)”

//

The captivating psych-rocker “Intuition (at Whitewood)” is the latest single from Monad, the project of Tel-Aviv based artist/producer Eshchar Nachmany. Representing the first of three new songs recorded/filmed as part of the band’s studio session in Whitewood Studios (Liverpool), “Intuition (at Whitewood)” dazzles with its driving rhythm section, spacey synth injections, and soaring guitar-laden excitement.

Rousing guitar tones quickly accompany a chirpy initial lead, thunderously erupting in gradual spurts as the vocals approach. A more soaring, emotive tone drives into further additions of excitable psych guitars and climactic percussion, culminating in the soaring delectability of the harmonizing vocals and buzzing guitars past the two-minute mark. Pulsing synths become a more prominent force in the final minutes, pairing wonderfully with the ardent vocals and rhythmic propulsions, like a more jam-friendly Tame Impala.

Speaking further about the recent recordings, Nachmany elaborates:

“Recording and releasing these songs as a batch of live studio versions is us trying to walk the line between the tight studio environment and the visceral live motion that is being on stage, trying to balance noise and melody, the analog and the digital.”
