“Only in The” is a resonating single from Crosslegged, the project of singer/songwriter and guitarist Keba Robinson, presently based in Queens, NY. Gentle guitar twangs and marimba tones complement a dynamic vocal presence, fondly reminiscent of Japanese Breakfast. “And only in the battlefield,” the vocals let out, converging with tender guitars and bouncy percussion for a climactic and spontaneous allure. “Only in The” shows stellar songwriting with plenty of strong melodic punches.
The excellent track has me firmly anticipating Crosslegged’s upcoming album, Another Blue, releasing on January 27th.
