Ark White – “Mind’s Eye”

//

Berlin-based artist Ark White impresses with aspects of psychedelic folk and dreamy rock. “Mind’s Eye” is a highlight on the stellar Foldin’ Love EP. The project’s seven-track debut release melds the artist’s eclectic background, spanning from classical guitar to hip-hop production.

“Mind’s Eye” sends ghostly chills from the get-go with seductive guitar work. “Wondering if I’d be lost, if I had not met you,” the vocals contemplate as the guitars express further, with twangy elegance amidst a lounge-friendly rhythmic backbone. There’s a bit of a Last Shadow Puppets-esque vibe inherent in the captivating production. The psychedelic elements envelop especially as the three-minute turn approaches, flashing from guitar-based ferocity into lulling vocal charms.
