Josephine – “Paradise”

/

“Paradise” is a lush pop single from Josephine, an artist born in NYC and presently based in Venice Beach, CA. Touting hypnotic and lush production that feels fit for contemplative walks on the beach, “Paradise” melds trickling guitars, serene vocals, and caressing synths for a replay-inducing charm.

Gentle guitar trickles glide into vocals that lament “one more day in paradise,” — with feelings of emotive paralysis complemented by clap-laden percussion and shimmering synth bounces. “Trade a few familiar faces, for a thousand iterations,” she sings as the trickling guitars re-emerge, building again thereafter with spacey synth tones during the “moving too fast,” vocal expressions.

The track comes via Josephine’s new EP, Paradise,, which includes highlights ranging from the ethereal atmospherics of “Waiting for the Sun” to the soulful pop confidence of “Pause”:

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of January 2023’ Spotify playlist.
