Luno Moon – “where do we go when the party’s over?”

A brief yet hooky success, “where do we go when the party’s over?” is a new single from Luno Moon. The Columbus, OH-based songwriter and producer describes the effort as “about the lonely and bittersweet feelings one may experience after party going,” — also representing “a metaphor that’s really asking ‘where do we go after this life?'”

Playful guitars bounce swiftly into an enthusiastic vocal presence and peppy bass backing. The soaring, hypnotic vocal effect reminds fondly of Tame Impala, with added percussion and bass-y envelopment signaling the impending guitar addition at the one-minute turn. This breezy, melodic guitar sequence plays with amiability over the backing rhythm section, and into the satiating title-touting lyrical sequence. “where do we go when the party’s over?” is an understated, hooky showing from Luno Moon.
