Egelands – “Kill me a thousand times”

/

Norwegian alt-rock trio Egelands cast a haunting mystique on new track “Kill me a thousand times.” Eerie guitars complement vocals reflecting a fractured emotional state. Percussive pit-patter signals a haunting multi-layered vocal elegance thereafter. Produced by members of the band Days of August, “Kill me a thousand times” stands out quickly with its darkening, memorable atmosphere.

The bright organ-laden bolstering of the title’s refrain concocts a powerfully emotional engrossment. A cathedral-like spaciousness plays alongside the stirring vocal layers, showing a seamless swell from the initially understated haunts. Anthemic rock guitars continue the versatile soundscape, putting a solid finality on the track’s build-up.

Look for several singles from the band this year, which will culminate in their debut EP.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2023’ Spotify playlist.
