juno roome – “sole outlet”

/

The latest from Brooklyn-based artist juno roome, “sole outlet” hypnotizes with its jangly guitars and lushly understated vocals, casting a late-night contemplative spell with its “last night,” ruminations amidst the steady percussion and creaky guitar tones.

“I dreamt of you again last night,” the opening vocals let out longingly. Added guitar twangs prove haunting during the self-questioning of “where will I go when I’ve had my fill of me?” — as wordless vocal/guitar interplay sends additional chills thereafter. “sole outlet” leaves an imprint fit for nighttime reflections.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2023’ Spotify playlist.
