Hazy Shea – “Sneaky Link”

//

Los Angeles-based artist Hazy Shea casts a woozy, soulful engrossment throughout their new track “Sneaky Link,” traversing from contemplative yearning into a perkier funk-laden charisma. “I’ve been thinking and waiting way too long,” the vocals admit as brisker percussion and grooving bass invigorate, relaying feelings of being smitten “at least until the coffee’s gone.” The latter’s refrain proves magnetic in the conclusion, as wordless vocal charisma aids alongside lush synths and the driving beat.

The single was premiered at the iconic Viper Room in West Hollywood. The track continues a very strong 2023 for the artist, continuing up singles like the nocturnal-minded momentum builder “Slide” and the stylishly soulful “Damn.” “Sneaky Link” represents another success for the quickly ascending project, impressing with both melodic and aesthetical savvy.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2023’ Spotify playlist.
