A new single from Marshall Van Leuven, “Guess Tape” makes a strong impression in under two minutes of runtime, showcasing a bursting psych-friendly escalation from suavely sporadic vocals into an enthused, heightening engrossment. “What a waste of time, everything is fine,” the initial vocals shrug, then lamenting a certain yearning. “I feel fine,” multiple vocal layers emerge thereafter amidst a translucent string-touched reflection, ascending further in pitch in a final 30 seconds of intriguing effervescence.
