Ro Nova – “Echo”

/

“Echo” is a lushly intriguing synth-led pop track from London-based artist Ro Nova, a London-based artist following up their previous single “Summertime Can’t Save Me.” This magnetic, self-produced success is accompanied by a lo-fi visual, which chronicles previous years into the eventual arrival in places like London and Venice Beach. The video’s halted sequential style and range of beach-set brightness with nocturnal lighting proves an apt visual sidekick.

Flourishing synth tones exude a breezy effervescence alongside steady bass pulses, with the latter taking charge upon a title-touting vocal sequence. Twinkling keys add thereafter, culminating into a snappier rhythmic presence in the final minute. The track’s soundscape dazzles in its range of glistening synths and funk-touched bass pulsations. There’s an ethereal yet climactic quality apparent throughout “Echo,” a riveting showcase of Ro Nova’s stylish synth-pop appeal.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2023’ Spotify playlist.

We discovered this release via MusoSoup, as part of the artist’s promotional campaign.
