Cold Fronts – “Bad Habit”

/

Philadelphia-based act Cold Fronts evoke a peppy early ’00s indie-rock nostalgia with “Bad Habit,” whose snarly guitar tones and swelling vocal momentum combine for a replay-inducing impact. Bouncy synth additions linger alongside a guitar-fronted charisma as the vocals fade, and then re-emerge again with enjoyable vigor as synths and guitars further converge. “I’m trying to get back up,” they let out, exuding themes of perseverance amidst the contagious rock production. Led by songwriter Craig Almquist, Cold Fronts strut an infectious and no-frills rock appeal on “Bad Habit.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
