Emma Forgette – “Counting to 3”

/

Fusing bluesy rock and country appeal, “Counting to 3” is an engaging track released today from Emma Forgette, a singer/songwriter based in Ocala, Florida. The lyrics initially encounter a series of red flags on a first date — specifically, showing up late and exuding a vibe of trying to overcompensate. “One more time and I’m out the door,” the rousing vocals let out. “‘Cause I’m counting to three.” Depictions of the second date further threatening of walking away if they’re “not better to me.”

Empowering, confident vigor is showcased in the lyrical narrative and debonair vocal drive. As three chances are provided to be better, an expressive array of guitars and vocal momentum assemble for an ardent success. The “I’m counting to three,” halted momentum drives into a plucky country-rock composure, inducing replays with each re-entry. “Counting to 3” is a strong showing from Emma Forgette.
