Draumr – “Halcyon Slumber”

/

Paris-based artist Draumr struts a dreamy pop bounciness on new single “Halcyon Slumber,” emitting a hazy radiance alongside synth and guitar infusions. The track follows previously featured successes like “Slowly Burning Feelings” and “Some Other Night.”

Glistening guitar twangs and calming bass lead a soundscape fit for tropical escapism. “Don’t mind my sensitivity,” the vocals let out, with the “summer-y haze,” reference an apt descriptor of the atmosphere conveyed here — appearing especially blissful in the wordless vocal adornments and fluttering guitar jangles. Sleepy key pulses traverse into the “been through hell and back,” soulful charisma, mixing it up enjoyably with lushly melodic precision. A funky bass immersion takes hold after, and leads into a satiating conclusion. “Halcyon Slumber” is another success from Draumr.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
