Free Whenever – “Precipice”

/

“Precipice” is a grooving psych-rock success from Brooklyn-based band Free Whenever. The track excels in its lush, hypnotic glow throughout. A funky bass line gives way to a suave guitar drive, with added vibrancy emerging at the 40-second mark as the guitars and bass intertwine with expansive color.

Soothing, wordless vocal effects adorn past the one-minute turn, furthering the intoxicating sense of psychedelic bliss. Woodwinds hit with chilling impact in the second half, intertwining seamlessly with the thickly reveberating rhythms and chilled-out guitar tones. “Precipice” is a stirring success from Free Whenever, formed in 2020 by Neil Guleria and Trevor LaVecchia.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
