Mikey Leão – “Leftovers”

/

Brooklyn-based duo Mikey Leão reveal a heartrending, dreamy captivation on new single “Leftovers.” Capturing the devastating effects of heartbreak during adolescence, the track moves from lush acoustic-laden introspection into prancing guitar jangles. “Your touch makes it so hard to accept things just as they are,” the vocals lament thereafter, repeating the last sequence with resonating impact.

Textured, atmospheric guitar layers past the two-minute mark beautifully complement the “as they are,” vocal refrain, making for a hypnotic yet wholly emotive engrossment throughout. The track precedes two upcoming singles from the band — one releasing on April 5th, and another (a collaboration with previously featured Sara Devoe) on May 17th.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
