Astronomy Club – “Dilute Stare” + “Say”

Two new singles are exemplary of the melodic psych-rock appeal from Astronomy Club, a band based in Bowling Green, KY. “Dilute Stare” balances spirited bursts of guitar distortion and reflective synths between bouts of dazed vocal immersion, while “Say” expands from a dreamy pop introduction into a driving bass pulse and all-around peppy rock charisma.

The various strengths are evident across both; “Dilute Stare” compels in its concise immediacy, melding noise and garage aspects seamlessly. “Say” stretches its legs out more, strutting the act’s knack for dynamic structural shifts and atmospheric rock allure. These two successes have Astronomy Club firmly on our radars.

These and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
