Nick Noon – “Who Needs Who”

/

Nashville-based artist Nick Noon struts a no-frills rock charm on new single “Who Needs Who,” whose charismatic vocal tone and buzzing guitar tenacity encourages movement in life and on the dancefloor alike. “You’re not appealing or worth a second glance,” the vocals let out with exhilarating qualities, building with momentum into a sweltering chorus. “Don’t think you’re gonna change me cause you know who needs who,” they further here, capped off by a scorching guitar solo. The music video, with its flashes of presidents and riots, play with apt qualities within thematic calls to action for betterment.

The production’s blend of steady guitar riffs and enthralling solos complements a fervent lead, melding a sense of ’90s alt-rock nostalgia with a sense of modern spontaneity. “Who Needs Who” is another stirrer from the quickly ascending Noon, who impresses with his singing, multi-instrumentation, and songwriting here and throughout the other highlights in his catalog.

We discovered this release via MusoSoup, as part of the artist’s promotional campaign.
