Qozy – “Bugs Life”

/

A new single from San Francisco-based producer and songwriter Qozy, “Bugs Life” captures a hazy rock engrossment. “I wrote this song as an ode to all the bugs I have killed while mowing the grass,” the artist explains. Aesthetically reminiscent of Deerhunter’s quainter efforts, a la “Agoraphobia,” “Bugs Life” enamors in its lush vocal hypnotics and driving guitar lines — compelling especially as the one-minute turn approaches, with a slowed-down, delectably lethargic momentum. “Bugs Life” is a stellar showing from Qozy.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
