The Winter Sounds – “Memory Fades”

/

“Memory Fades” is a lovely new single from The Winter Sounds. The project caught our ears last month with the Europa EP, and “Memory Fades” continues to showcase a knack for compelling songwriting. Jangly guitars and illuminated twinkling complements a soaring vocal rise, proclaiming “we’re living in a wishing world,” amidst desires to find “the perfect world,” and break free from restraints. Stylistically, there’s a fond likeness to Magnetic Fields in the vocal tone and idiosyncratic pop captivation. “Memory Fades” is another stellar showcase from the project of Patrick Keenan.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
