V of 40M – “The Score”

An infectious beat and compelling vocal deliveries impress throughout “The Score,” a recent single from V of 40M that features fellow 40M members, 40M Tye and Hippie G. An intoxicating blend of hip-hop and pop shows alongside replay-inducing vocal refrains and fluid hip-hop verses, playing cohesively throughout a strong production from LABACK. Taking some inspiration from the powerful sounds of Fugees, “The Score” stirs throughout.

Arpeggiated intensity drives into a charismatic vocal that escalates enjoyably: “All we need is a touchdown, let’s go!” into a thumping percussive immersion. A smooth, soulful vocal follows, with gradual ascension in intensity taking hold thereafter. The various football references and whistling effects make for an ideal gameday feel, making for a pump-up anthemic success from V of 40M, who leads the Black Independence people’s movement known as Forty Million Strong (40M).
