Edditter – “Winter Memories”

/

An ideal accompaniment to watching the snow fall from the warming embrace of a fireplace-lit lounge, “Winter Memories” is an atmospherically blissful track from Edditter. The Savona, Italy-based artist successfully captures feelings of snow-set nostalgia, drawing upon glimpses of classic wintertime staples like “Last Christmas” and “Vacanze di Natale” amidst a vaporwave-inspired production. The soundscape’s mastery of conveying a wintry glow plays as a continuation of “Snowflakes Fight,” another lushly magnetic delight that Edditter released last year.

Glimmering synth tones and shifty percussion assemble for an intriguing open, resembling the automated sounds of a train as it breezes through a wintry tundra. Neon-lit synths emerge cohesively thereafter, fondly exuding that vaporwave influence. Twinkling keys and a bass-y lushness consume past the one-minute turn; this elegant serenity builds again into stylish synth accompaniments throughout the second half, attaining a crisp effervescence at the track’s conclusion. A gripping mystique permeates throughout the winter wonderland set within “Winter Memories.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
