Belling The Tiger – “Dream Bear”

/

A hauntingly melodic appeal shows on Detroit-based project Belling The Tiger‘s recent track “Dream Bear,” which melds swooning vocals, soaring guitar lines, and brassy stylishness. Representing the lead track from the project’s four-song collection Let The Rain, “Dream Bear” achieves a catching art-rock and prog-rock fusing in its dynamic instrumentation and expressive vocal vigor.

The lyricism invokes emotional strife and healing through a symbolic “dream bear” that offers peace after pain. “My dream bear’s gentle like we never were,” the vocals exude, sharply complemented by wordless ghostly backing reflections and a myriad of interesting instrumentation — from riveting prog-rock guitars and concise brass punches. “Dream Bear” is a memorable success from Belling The Tiger, who collaborated with Jeax Couvade on the EP.
