Woozy synth pulses and a calming vocal introspection, tonally reminiscent of Beach House, build with enjoyable momentum. “You’re running thin,” the vocals let out, reflective of how over-encumbering oneself can be damaging to you and others. A gorgeous, wordless vocal soaring swells past the first minute into a twanging guitar illumination, furthering the already-enthralling soundscape. “Drone” is a delight from SSAANN.
