Brooklyn-based band MAN LEE immerse with an introspective rock appeal on new single “Eventualities.” Conveyed lyrical depictions of desire and the tendency to rely on “eventualities” resonate alongside a momentum-filled ascent, reminiscent of Mitski. “I need you like a man needs water, like a child needs a bottle,” the vocals let out initially, expanding into an affecting “you’re my consolation prize,” ardency. Whirring guitar textures in the final sequence prove stirring as well, into a final “count on eventualities” bite.
