PAAB – “To Heaven”

/

London-based artist PAAB crafts a glistening synth-pop sound on new single “To Heaven,” where lyrical accounts of falling in love pair with a spacey, electronic allure. A positive, smitten sentiment emanates throughout — resembling the emotions of love to a “road to heaven” that’s never-ending and perpetually blissful. The track is a melodic, affecting success.

A bursting, colorful synth-forward entrancement takes hold right away. “Driving through the skeletons of love, holding on to your soul,” a radiant vocal presence ensues, aesthetically conjuring shades of Erasure in its effervescent, emotively hooky synth-pop production. “Stardust in your eyes, I’m falling again,” the vocals continue, depicting a sense of hypnosis after falling under a beloved’s spell.

The “under moonlight” bridge that follows bolsters the soundscape further, adding an enticingly dreamy element. Soaring guitar lines complement thereafter, as the final vocal sequence satiates with replay-inducing impact — concluding “To Heaven” with memorable resonance.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
