Pon Far – “Sirens”

/

The caressingly melodic “Sirens” is another alluring success from Pon Far, a Brooklyn-based act that caught our ears in March with the lushly absorbing single “Not Yet.” “Sirens” continue to strut a dreamy bedroom-pop charm, this time enamoring with a cohesive fusing of twinkling keys, twangy guitar infusions, and a jumpy bass feeling. ’80s percussive additives bolster the inviting overall sound, propelled further by magnetic vocal work — cautioning “don’t you be fooled…” during an especially riveting sequence, into gorgeous guitar and keys interplaying.

The track comes via Pon Far’s new album, Little Grains, streaming below:

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
