SEEDR – “Settle”

//

Enthralling in its range of dreamy synth atmospherics and buzzy art-pop invigoration, “Settle” is a fantastic new track from SEEDR. The release represents the second single from the project, coming via London-born, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Jessie Jayne. “Time is always shifting, don’t look behind now,” her riveting vocals let out amidst glistening synth arps and buzzing bass as the cathartic — “settle down … settle in” — call takes hold in the main hook. “Find your feet, slowly rising, stabilizing,” the verses continue, feeling reflective of personal transformation and resulting empowerment.

The track’s second half then navigates into an infectious pop ardency, thoroughly succeeding in its tonal switch-up. “Stay put, you wanna fight back,” a suave vocal disposition stirs alongside sporadic, energetic synth warbles — and into a final lush “settle down” calling to stop, breathe, and re-evaluate during times of tumult. With the immersive “Settle” we’re now certainly anticipating SEEDR’s upcoming debut EP Evolutionary, due this year.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
