Sisters – “Sweetness of Things”

/

A dreamy rock mystique consumes on “Sweetness of Things,” the debut single from Sisters. Led by singer and primary songwriter Georgiana Genet, the project showcases a fantastic, emotive vein of songwriting on the track — which seamlessly ventures from initially trickling nocturnal-set moodiness into ardent rock eruptions.

“Dismissing the fear that’s learned how to sneak into your mouth and the way that you speak,” Genet’s riveting vocals emanate as jangling guitars into the impassioned rock ascent: “Use your charm, learn to see.” Lyrical depictions of abuse’s cyclical nature resonate within an atmospheric rock prowess, captivating across both the eerie verses and cathartic-feeling realizations into the enjoyably raucous rock ascent. “Sweetness of Things” is a fantastic debut from the talented Liverpool-based act.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Rock.
