Los Angeles-based The Entrails invokes a nostalgic garage-rock and psychedelic charm on new single “Outline My Plans With Chalk,” a heady and melodic success that sounds timeless in its charismatic vocal work, atmospheric guitar swirls, and rhythmic momentum.
Hazy initial guitars drive into a welcoming lyrical entrance — “we should get together and enjoy this warm weather” — and asking “are we doing this or not?” as the title-touting hook arrives. “I guess you can outline my plans with chalk,” the vocals continue, maneuvering with artful infectiousness.
