Dogmile – “Fellup”

/

“Fellup” is a standout track from Dogmile, reminiscent of later-era Radiohead in its artful fusing of trickling guitars, atmospheric synths, and foreboding vocal intensity. A sturdy percussive element lingers throughout, while various elements prove dynamic in their incorporation — particularly the synths, which develop from an initially subdued eerie buzzing into a final minute of flourishing effervescence, which melds with spine-tingling impact alongside dexterous acoustics and a now-soaring vocal composure. Described as “a summer song with a bleaker subject matter,” “Fellup” has us firmly anticipating whatever’s next from Dogmile.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
