Rosie Belvie – “Living My Life”

A consuming disco-funk pop groove shines on “Living My Life,” the new single from Rosie Belvie. The Sydney, Australia-based artist exudes a carpe-diem thematic mentality within the memorable production, crafted in collaboration with producer and older brother Johnny Bullz of Bullzeye Beats. The drive to live life to the fullest, and brushing aside haters intent on personal criticisms, proves empowering throughout. “You do you and I will do me, don’t need you fucking with my energy,” Belvie’s smooth vocals sharply declare, embracing the “I am carefree” catharsis thereafter as funky guitar strums evolve into a title-touting, multi-vocal ardor.

Belvie’s vocal maneuvering from lower-pitched, debonair intrigue into the vibrant “living my life” output is especially impactful, as is the funky groove apparent in the “if you wanna hate, that’s fine with me / I love my haters” confidence. That bridge ties together an already-captivating production, succeeding in both moments of layered, meticulous soul pop and understated disco-touched rhythmic hypnotics. “Living My Life” is a powerful, replay-inducing success from Rosie Belvie.
